Lori Ann Swanson, 64, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8 a.m., Tuesday, April 5th, suddenly, at her home.
Lori was born in McPherson, Kansas on October 17, 1957, a daughter of Doris Elaine (Spradlin) and Carl Wallace Swanson.
Lori attended Santa Fe Country School, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1975. She then attended and graduated from Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Lori was blessed with the birth of a son, Adam Christopher in January of 1985.
Through the years Lori worked as a X-ray technician for the Medicine Lodge Hospital, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Moberly Hospital, Moberly, Missouri, Hertzler Clinic, Halstead, Kansas, and Hutchinson Clinic, Hutchinson, Kansas.
Lori enjoyed hanging out with her friends, watching the football games, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, helping friends out, and spending time with family. She loved delivering meals for Meals on Wheels and helping friends get to their appointments, fried chicken and French Silk Pie. Lori really enjoyed her dogs and cats and caring for strays. Lori had a strong faith in her God.
She is survived by her son Adam Swanson, of McPherson, Kansas; her mother Doris Swanson of McPherson, Kansas; her brother Dale Swanson and wife Kris Swanson, of McPherson, Kansas; her nieces Karin Krehbiel and husband Jay, of McPherson, Kansas and Leslie Lyman and husband Justin, of Overland Park, Kansas; other relatives and a host of friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her father Carl W. Swanson.
A Celebration of Life Come and Go will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, April 16th, 2022 at Glidden - Ediger Chapel in McPherson, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or McPherson County Humane Society and they can be sent in care of the Glidden - Ediger Funeral Home, 222 West Euclid, McPherson, Kansas 67460.
