Lawrence Mayer, of Gypsum, KS, passed peacefully at his beloved family farm at the age of 85.

He is reunited in death with wife Barbara Ann Mayer, daughter Rhonda Fay Mayer, brother Alfred and sister-in-law Ladonna Mayer.

He leaves, in passing, his sister Mary Mayer. He will forever be cherished as a father by Jolene and Tim Cox, Wanda Shaw, Richard Mayer and Mary Parks. Lawrence was the loving grandfather of Kristina, Kevin, Andrew, Shelby, Zachary and Lydia, as well as a great-grandfather of eight.

He was a proud member of the U.S. military, and a well-respected dairy farmer amongst his community. He enjoyed his years raising crops, livestock, and, above all, his family. Lawrence was a man of God, honor, and his word. The kindness and wisdom he spread will live on in the hearts of his relatives, friends, and neighbors for generations to come.

A celebration of life ceremony is to be announced at a later date.
