Geraldine “Geri” Schulz, 85, of Canton, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was a homemaker and secretary for the family business, Schulz Welding Service.
Geri was born on April 28, 1936, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of John P. and Bertha (Peters) Kliewer. She graduated from Canton High School in 1954. On September 17, 1954, Geri was united in marriage to Roger A. Schulz in Canton, KS.
She was a member of Canton Community Church and volunteered at McPherson Hospital.
Survivors include: her loving husband of 67 years, Roger Schulz, and their two sons, Rodney Schulz (Julie) and Mitchell Schulz (Karen), all of Canton, KS; brother Bruce Kliewer (Marc Cain) of Wichita, KS; five grandchildren, Jamie Papatheodoulou, Dylan Schulz (Josie), Tyler Schulz (fiancé, Taylor Fox), Emily Brannon, and Sam Brannon; great-grandchildren, Iris Schulz, August Schulz, Leonidas Papatheodoulou, and one on the way; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ruth Haury and Richard Kliewer.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson, KS. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, at Canton Community Church, Canton, KS with Pastor Mike Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Canton Township Cemetery.
