Salina Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly burglarized a bar.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Sunday, August 31 at around 6:30 am, employees of Hanks Tavern (116 S Broadway Blvd.) reported of an alleged burglary that occurred.
Reportedly, an employee noticed the bar had been forced open the night before. The employee stated an unknown suspect broke into cash registers and an arcade machine. SPD stated the suspect stole money from the machine only, but not from the cash registers since it was empty.
Furthermore, several bottles of alcohol were stolen and a vehicle parked in the back of the bar was broken into as well. The suspect allegedly stole a bottle of cologne from the vehicle.
Total loss and damage was listed to be around $1,700.
No identification of suspect was given at this time. SPD is currently awaiting surveillance video from the bar.
