Max Douglas "Doug" Morse, 78, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 12:51 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 while in the company of family members at his residence.

Max was born in McPherson, Kansas on August 3, 1943, a son of Raymond H. and Beulah Pauline (Nelson) Morse.

Doug attended Galva Elementary School and graduated from Galva High School, Galva, Kansas in 1961. He then attended Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.

He was a member of Galva Christian Church, Galva, Kansas.

Through the years Doug worked as a sales manager/salesman for KNEX/ KWBW AM radio until he retired in 2015.

Doug was a member of B.P.O.E, Kansas Broadcasting Association, Kansas Homeowner Association and Kansas Elks Bowling Association.

Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating, anything outdoors, his dogs, and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Max Douglas Morse was united in marriage to Karon Eileen Bengtson on June 22, 1963 in Lawton, Oklahoma. The young couple established their first home together in Galva, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of three sons, Mark, Paul and Rob.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Karon Morse of McPherson, Kansas; his sons Mark Morse of Hutchinson, Kansas, Paul Morse and his wife Michelle of Hutchinson, Kansas and Rob Morse and his wife Christina of Hutchinson, Kansas; a special member of the family, Deborah Morse, of Trenton, Missouri; and his sister Gayle Hallgarth and her husband Bob of Burkburnett, Texas.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Sarah, Kiley(Jordan), Nathan(Devin), Jake(Amanda), Rider and Tegan and his great-grandchildren Jayson, Joseph, Myles, Gracie, Karter, Marie and Carter.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Galva Christian Church, Galva, Kansas, with Reverend Amy Foster officiating.
