Kan. woman, 3 juveniles hospitalized in Salina after 2-vehicle crash

ELLSWORTH COUNTY—Seven people were injured in an accident just after noon Sunday in Ellsworth County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Infiniti QX60 driven by Kayla D. Timms, 34, Ellsworth, was southbound on Kansas Highway 141.

The driver failed to stop at stop sign at the Kansas Highway 4 junction and struck a westbound 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 driven by Tucker T. Loesch, 15, Hoisington.

EMS transported Timms, two children in the Infiniti  and a 15-year-old Great Bend boy in the GMC to Salina Regional Health Center. EMS transported a fourth passenger in the Infiniti Levi C Schneider, 30, Kanopolis, to the hospital in Lindsborg.

EMS transported Loesch and a teen passenger in the GMC to the hospital in McPherson. Two other children in the Infiniti were not injured.

A teen in the Infiniti and another in the pickup were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
