First Bank Kansas announces Berens' retirement

First Bank Kansas has announced the retirement of Carolyn Berens, vice president, effective today.

Berens retirement follows a successful 48-year career in the financial industry.

She joined First Bank Kansas in 1997 as a branch manager, a position she held for several years until moving to the Santa Fe location. In her 23 years with First Bank Kansas, Berens held many positions including Marketing, Business Development, High Performance Checking program, Commercial/Cash Management and Director of the First Bank Kansas Travel Club.

"Berens has touched the lives of many in her career with First Bank Kansas. She will be greatly missed," the bank noted in a news release.
