Items stolen from three more unlocked vehicles in the county

Three more unlocked vehicles were entered and items stolen, including a rifle, binoculars, and a welding helmet.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that sometime between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 6900 block of Thorstenberg Road and stole the following items.

A Remington .22 rifle in a case valued at $450

Sears binoculars valued at $50

Sears jumper cables valued at $50

Additionally, sometime between 1-5:40 a.m. on Wednesday, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of East Third Street in Falun and stole the following items, Soldan said.

A Lincoln welding helmet valued at $250

A bag of welding items valued at $80

A DeWalt battery powered grinder valued at $200

Soldan also said that sometime between Dec. 21 and Saturday, someone stole a phone charger and three note pads (total value: $16) from an unlocked vehicle in the 3400 block of South Crest Lane.

Soldan said that these incidents were additional reminders for people to not leave valuables in their vehicles.
