Gerald L. Norman was born February 27, 1938 in Junction City, Kansas the son of Ernest and Geraldine (Seubert) Norman. He passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Chapman Valley Manor at the age of 86.
He graduated from the Dickinson County Community High School with the class of 1955. He was a tractor mechanic for Willhoite’s in Junction City and also was a farmer, and a school bus driver for the Dickinson County School District.
Gerald served in the National Guard, and was on the Good Hope Cemetery Board, and the Dickinson County Historical Society. He enjoyed assembling electronic kits, spending time with his family, and spending time with his friends at the Senior Center in Chapman, and attending his class reunions.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, brother Gail Norman of Salina, and sister Yvonne Silver of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carolyn Lehner and nephew Scott Chronister.
Funeral services for Gerald will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Chapman United Methodist Church in Chapman with Pastor Connie Woldridge. His final resting place will be in the Good Hope Cemetery north of Chapman. His family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm Thursday evening at the Londeen-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Chapman.
