UPDATE 6:55 a.m. Friday:&nbsp;A more intense Summer time heat will return this afternoon with highs from the 90s in eastern Kansas to as high as 103 degrees in parts of central Kansas. Heat indices will range from 100 to 105 degrees across all areas this afternoon.

Dangerous heat is expected to return on Friday with the highest afternoon heat indices in the 100 to 105-degree range area wide.
