Dean Vernon Johnson passed away surrounded by close family in October 30th, 2024. He was a retired Vietnam veteran and served for many years thereafter in various roles at the McPherson County Sheriff’s Department and McPherson County Jail. He was an avid hunter and kept a well rounded collection of hunting rifles he would later pass down to his grandchildren.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife of several years Mary, and only grandson Kody B Johnson. Survivors include sons Jason of Salina, KS, Rick (Logan) of Oklahoma, and daughter Hilary (Mark) of Wichita. Grandchildren Amber (Eligah) of&nbsp;&nbsp;Alabama and MaKenzie of Salina, KS. Great grandchildren twins Kaiser and Kaisen Johnson, Nevaeh, Alani, Mara, and Amayah Stanley, and Kenison and Coen Frisbie.&nbsp;

In lieu of flowers please plant a tree in memorial. He will be greatly missed by friends family and his fellow VA members.&nbsp;
