
Melvin G. Waylan, Jr., 92, Minneapolis, died Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was born May 20, 1928 in Salina to Melvin G., Sr. and Ester May (Fuller) Waylan.
After high school, Melvin enlisted in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated Western Auto and a filling station, both in Delphos. After retirement, Melvin traveled to nursing homes in north central Kansas where he would minister with music.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis.
Survivors are his daughters, Sharon, Barbara, and Patty Sue; boys he raised, Wilbur Noon, Ronny Mann, and Rick Scott; sisters, Marilyn and Susie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 21 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Salina. Memorials may be made to the Ottawa County Health Center Long Term Care.
