Additional area counties will be under a wind advisory beginning this afternoon.
The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 1 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday that includes Marion County.
South winds of 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
