A small earthquake shook part of southeastern Saline County this afternoon.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey (KGS), a 2.3 magnitude quake struck at 3:47 p.m. Monday. The quake was centered just east of South Niles Road between East Hedberg Road and East Lapsley Road.
