A Salina man blames an acquaintance for stealing his vehicle after an overnight stay at his home.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Tuesday, July 22nd at around 5:00 pm, a 54-year old man reported that their vehicle was stolen. The man told police before the alleged incident happened, he had an 'acquaintance stay at his home overnight' on Saturday, July 19th. The following morning, the man reported that his acquaintance 'was gone' as well as his green 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.
SPD stated that the man suspected his acquaintance stole the vehicle. The man then called the suspect and told them to return the vehicle, but they did not.
The green 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe bears a KS tag, 235PPC.
Value is listed at $5,000. The investigation is ongoing.
