TOKYO (AP) — American rower Gevvie Stone's goal is to go back to Boston with a new medal to wear with her stethoscope. Preferably an Olympic gold medal.
Stone won a silver medal in single sculls at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.
She has delayed her career as a doctor in emergency room medicine for nearly three years in pursuit of one more chance at Olympic glory. She'll get her last chance at a gold medal Wednesday in the women's double sculls with teammate Kristi Wagner.
