SALINE COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 11:30p.m. Saturday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Nissan Juke driven by Jaden L. Herwig, 23, Salina, was westbound on Schilling Road making a southbound turn onto Interstate 135. The driver turned too short. The vehicle traveled over a cement barrier and struck a cement culvert.
EMS transported Herwig and a passenger Tabatha D. Kirchner, 25, Lindsborg, to Salina Regional Medical Center. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
