Motorcyclist injured in crash at Cloud and Ninth Streets in Salina

On Thursday evening a motorcyclist was injured in a crash near the intersection of Cloud and Ninth Streets in Salina.

According to Salina Police Department (SPD) Cpt. James Feldman the crash happened at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29.

According to the crash report, a Chevy Cavalier was southbound on Ninth Street and was beginning to turn eastbound onto cloud, where it struck a motorcyclist, a 54-year-old woman of Salina, traveling northbound in the 1800 block of South Ninth. 

The motorcyclist sustained significant injuries to her arm and shoulder and was taken to a medical facility in Wichita for treatment.

Feldman said both the vehicle and motorcycle had to be towed off the street.
