Salina man arrested on requested drug charges after traffic stop

A traffic stop early this morning led to the arrest of a Salina man on multiple requested drug charges.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., a Salina Police Department K-9 officer pulled over a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder for an expired license plate in the 1900 block of N. Ninth Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

K-9 Tyrann was deployed and indicated to illegal narcotics. A search of the car revealed 3.6 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, Forrester said. Evidence indicated that the methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia belonged to the the passenger in the car, who was identified as Steven Fuller, 50, of Salina, Forrester said.

Fuller was arrested on the following requested charges, according to Forrester.

Possession of an opiate with intent to distribute

No drug tax stamp

Felony possession of drug paraphernalia

Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Additionally, the driver of the car, who was only identified as being female, was cited for having an expired license plate.
