Kathleen Elizabeth Harlowe, 97, of Salina, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021. She was born December 6, 1923 in Logan, Kansas.
She worked for Raytheon Aircraft for 19 years in various departments but retired in 1986 as a supervisor in the upholstery department. After retirement, Kathleen worked at Sam’s Club as a “Food Sampler Demonstrator”, encouraging people to try the various sample products.
Kathleen was a people person, and always willing to help others. Her true passion showed when she tended to her flowers in her garden and while working in her yard.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, Edward E., and Lavergne E. Zink, her beloved husband, Richard K. Harlowe, and 2 brothers, Francis X., and John Zink.
Survivors include her only son, Vernon “Ed” Harlowe of Salina, nieces, Margaret Lafferty, and Mary White, both of Wichita, Nancy Donahey of Lawrence, Kathleen Morrison of Boulder CO., and many other great nieces and nephews, as well as friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2012 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, also at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park.
