William Jay Braden, 77 of McPherson KS passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 26th at his residence with his loving wife and family by his side.
William was born in Sacramento, California on December 6th, 1944, a son of the late Lois Lorraine (Jordan) and Robert Amos Braden.
He worked for Pyle Construction before going into business for himself, owning B&B Masonry. He spent many years loving his experiences working alongside his family before retiring in 2014.
William Jay Braden was united in marriage to Phyllis June Wilson in Salida, Colorado.
He is survived by his loving wife June Braden (Margaret) of McPherson, KS; sons Terry Braden of Colorado, Steve Braden of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jason Wilson of McPherson KS; daughter Stephaine Oakes (Steve Oakes) of McPherson KS. He has 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as all of his bonus children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, his sons Ty and Doug Braden, his four brothers and three sisters, his grandson Jon Paul Oakes, and daughter-in-law Judy Braden.
His hobbies were fishing, hunting, traveling, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Chapel in McPherson KS.
