Jane Kay Brown “Kay” Brown, 86, of Salina, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Thursday November 7th, 2024. Kay was born to Ileen Wright (Bainter) and Harold Wright on November 19th, 1937 at their farmhouse in Dresden, KS.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ramona Beggs, of Steamboat Springs, CO in October 2021; her brother, Samuel Wright of Salina, KS in April 2019. She is survived by her husband, Frank Brown, of Salina, KS. They were married for 68 years this September. Survivors also include:-her 3 siblings, Fay Gallentine (Wright), of Ogallala, NE; Thomas Wright of Salina, KS; Stephen Wright of Hays, KS -her son, Raymond Brown, of Salina, KS -her 5 grandchildren, Justin Brown of Russell, KS; Jesica Brown of Salina, KS; Daniel Beggs II of Shawnee, OK; Hannah Duran (Beggs) of Greenwood Village, CO; and Marisa Beggs of Steamboat Springs, CO. -her 2 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn McCarty and Nathan McCarty, both of Russell, KS.
Kay was a loving, kind, and thoughtful daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and neighbor. Her family was her world. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. In her life, and in her death, she experienced peace and love.
