The 5th annual Salute to our Heroes event is set to occur on May 22 - 23, which will feature live music and a tailgate party.
According to Jon Armstrong, curator of the event, on May 22 the event will kickoff at The Venue in Salina (638 Francis St.) with doors opening at 5:00 pm for VIP and 6:00 pm for general admission.
This event is meant to honor all active U.S. military servicemen and women, veterans and first responders.
live music will be performed by artists such as Jason Michael Carroll, Love and Theft, Danielle Peck, Big Vinny and Jaron Bell.
VIP tickets are $75 & General Admission tickets are $25

Then on May 23 at 3:00 pm a Tailgate Party will occur for the Salina Liberty football game at the Tony's Pizza Events Center parking lot.
Free tickets for the football game will be handed out for U.S. Military Veterans by showing a valid military ID.
