Kenneth Gene Nicholas, 72, of Salina, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born March 31, 1949, in Ronceverte, West Virginia.
Kenneth worked for Great Plains Manufacturing as a master mechanic for 16 years. He also served our country in the United States Army. Kenneth was a member of VFW Post 1432, the DAV and American Legion 62.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Ray and Lovie Elizabeth (Coltrue) Nicholas; daughter Shannon Louise Nicholas; grandson Justice Stone; sisters Betty, Virgie, Helen, Harriett; and brothers Lloyd, Vince, Carroll, Ronald.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Nicholas of the home; children Angela J. Hicks of Salina, Lawanda E. Nicholas-Jackson of Salina, David R. Nicholas of Salina; brother Stephen J. Nicholas; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.
