It will be warmer today, but watch out for the patchy freezing drizzle tonight!

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, the gradual warming trend will continue today. The warmest temperatures will over central Kansas with highs near 50s. Colder temperatures will be located over southern and southeast Kansas, where lingering snow cover will keep temperatures in the upper 30s.

When the sun goes down, so do the temperatures, and with that comes the possibility of some patchy freezing drizzle late tonight through Sunday morning, mainly over central and northern Kansas. NWS noted that significant icing is not expected, but there could be just enough of a glaze of ice to lead to slick spots on some roads, as well as some light icing on car windshields, railings, sidewalks.
