Phyllis J. Anderson 84, Minneapolis, died August 29, 2024, in Minneapolis. Phyllis was born October 13, 1939, in Manhattan, KS, to Glen and Dorothy (Campbell) Anderson.
She was a 1957 graduate of Glasco High School. Phyllis and Charles “Bud” H. Klein were united in marriage and to that union, three sons were born.
Phyllis was a lifelong learner. Some of her education included attending Southwestern College where she received a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in 1989. She received a Master of Science degree in community counseling from the University of Nebraska in 1998. She worked in the substance abuse and mental health counseling field for 25 years. Phyllis also worked in secretarial and bookkeeping jobs over the years and especially enjoyed working part-time at H&R Block preparing taxes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Robert Beck.
Survivors are her sons, Ron Klein of Geneseo, James and Diana Klein of Delphos, and Joe and Julie Klein of Abilene; daughter, Sandy and Roger Valeri of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; brothers, Vernon and Peggy Anderson of Oroville, CA and Dean and Joyce Beck of Glenwood, MN; sister, Barbara and Homer Davidson of Smithville, MO; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Glasco Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and meal will follow at the Glasco V.F.W. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Golden Wheel Senior Center or SRL Animal Rescue and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
