NWS: A bit of wintry precipitation Sunday and Monday

Today would be a good day to stay inside.

Aside from the cold weather -- Salina's high temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees -- light wintry precipitation in the form of flurries, light snow, and very light freezing drizzle will impact the region this morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.

If you have to be out, watch out for slick roads, especially across southern Kansas, NWS noted.

Additionally, scattered areas of very light snow are expected late tonight through Monday morning across central and eastern Kansas, NWS reported. Some freezing drizzle is possible across south-central and southeast Kansas. This could result in slick roads and walks for the morning commute.
