A teen was cited for inattentive driving after a two-vehicle accident early Friday evening.
A 2002 Chevrolet Venture van driven by Martha Smith, 62, of Salina, was westbound on Cloud Street, just west of South Ninth Street, and was waiting to turn into the Harbor Freight parking lot when a 1961 Chevrolet pickup driven by Adam Curbow, 18, of Salina, struck the back of the Venture, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.
Smith sustained a shoulder injury and a 34-year-old female passenger with her suffered a panic attack, Forrester reported. Both were transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, he added.
According to Forrester, the Venture sustained rear-end damage and was towed from the scene and the pickup sustained front end damage.
Curbow was cited for inattentive driving and no proof of insurance, Forrester said.
