The North Central Chapter of Women for Kansas will bring Sherman Smith, Editor-in-Chief of the Kansas Reflector, and Tim Carpenter, Reflector Senior Reporter, to the Sunflower Financial Theatre,303 E Iron Ave, Salina,on Monday, August 7, from 7-9 p.m.The public is cordially invited.
Cash bar and refreshments will be available for purchase.
Award-winning journalists Carpenter and Smith will share their inside look behind the scenes at the Kansas Statehouse, as well as staff experiences in news-gathering at various locations around the state.
Primary focus will be on the Kansas Legislature and its effects on citizens, as well as the state of overall news coverage, from the Reflector’s perspective.
A question and comment time will provide opportunity for citizens to interact, become more informed, and share perspectives on public policy and its effect on Salina and the State.
Launched in 2020, the Kansas Reflector is a nonprofit news operation providing (online only) in-depth reporting, diverse opinions and daily coverage of state government and politics.
