MCPHERSON -- The McPherson County Health Department today reported eight new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total to 231.
Following is the information about the latest cases as provided by the health department.
●Positive case No. 224 is a symptomatic male in his 40s with possible travel exposure.
●Positive case No. 225 is a symptomatic female in her 40s with possible travel exposure and family exposure (family of 224).
●Positive case No. 226 is a symptomatic female in her 60s with possible travel exposure.
●Positive case No. 227 is a symptomatic male in his 30s with known exposure (family of 228, 229, 230, 231).
●Positive case No. 228 is a symptomatic female in her 30s with known exposure (family of 227, 229, 230, 231).
●Positive case No. 229 is a symptomatic 6-year-old male with known exposure (family of 227, 228, 230, 231).
●Positive case No. 230 is symptomatic 3-year-old male with known exposure (family of 227, 228, 229, 231).
●Positive case No. 231 is a symptomatic 4-month-old male with known exposure (family of 227, 228, 229, 230).
Of the 231 total cases, 198 have met the Kansas Department of Health and Environment recovery guidelines, the health department reported. Three of the current cases are hospitalized, according to the health department.
