The death of a Salina man whose body was found in the pond at Indian Rock Park on Feb. 8 has be ruled to be a "probable drowning."
In the evening of Feb 8, police were notified by a person walking the trails at Indian Rock Park, 1300 Gypsum Avenue, that a body appeared to be in the pond at the park. Police responded and found the body of John Palmgren 56, of Salina.
This morning, the Salina Police Department released the following statement concerning Palmgren's death.
Since the discovery of John Palmgren on February 8, 2022, an autopsy was conducted. Mr. Palmgren’s cause of death is listed as “probable drowning.” The autopsy findings, toxicology report, and information from the case investigation have been reviewed with the Saline County Attorney, Jeff Ebel, and this case is now closed.
