WICHITA, Kan. – Fast-casual restaurant concept Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®announced today a partnership awarding Name, Image and Likeness deals to ten collegiate athletes in Kansas, Georgia, Texas and Colorado. Freddy’s will partner with the athletes to share their menu favorites on social media channels and the brand’s website.
"What makes Freddy’s so great is that it’s a chill, homey, old-school vibe,” said Alton McCaskill, University of Colorado Running Back. “The burgers taste fresh and real, and the custard is always good with really great flavors.”
Freddy’s is showcasing male and female collegiate athletes excelling in football, soccer, and volleyball. While some of the athletes are new to the growing brand, others frequented the restaurant throughout their childhoods.
“I wanted to partner with Freddy’s because it’s a place that was right by my house, and I grew up eating it with friends, so I thought it would be a really cool opportunity,” said Emma Halter, University of Texas Libero. The Freddy’s Collegiate Athlete Partnership is comprised of the following students:
Will Howard, Kansas State University, Quarterback; Shane Porter, Kansas State University, Wide Receiver; Kenny Logan, University of Kansas, Safety; Ladd McConkey, University of Georgia, Wide Receiver; Jordan Brown, University of Georgia, Goalkeeper; Emma Halter, University of Texas, Libero; Bella Bergmark, University of Texas, Middle Blocker; Blake Shapen, Baylor University, Quarterback; Alton McCaskill, University of Colorado, Running Back; Jahdae Barron, University of Texas, Defensive Back.
