A Salina man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night in central Salina.
Federico Merrell, 58, of Salina, was northbound on S. Fifth Street when his 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee was struck at the intersection with E. South Street by an eastbound 2012 GMC Sierra driven by Chase Young, 19, of Salina, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m. Wednesday.
Merrell suffered minor injuries and was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.
The Grand Cherokee sustained driver-side damage and the Sierra sustained front-end damage. Both were towed from the scene.
Young was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, Forrester said.
