The newest Saline County Commissioner was welcomed during Tuesday's public meeting.
Tom Arpke was welcomed by his fellow commissioners during the meeting, which was his first appearance after replacing former commissioner Monte Shadwick.
Arpke previously served as a Salina Commissioner from 2009 to 2010. He then served as a Representative for the 69th District from 2011 to 2013, and as a Senator for District 24 from 2013 to 2017.
He serves Saline County's district 1, comprising New Cambria, Dayton and Elm Creek (precincts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 12).
