A laptop computer is missing after a vehicle burglary in central Salina earlier this week.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that sometime between 10 p.m. on Wednesday and 7 a.m. on Thursday, someone broke into a 2011 Ford Focus in the 600 block of Berkshire. The owner, a 24-year-old Salina man, told police that he thought he had locked his car, but when he got in Thursday morning, he noticed the contents of the glove box on the floor and his laptop case missing, Forrester said.

The man told police that he drove around his neighborhood and found the laptop case, without the laptop in it, in the yard of a church, Forrester reported.

The laptop, a Lenovo ThinkPad T570, was valued at $1,500, he said.
