MCPHERSON -- The McPherson County Health Department has reported three new confirmed COVID-19 cases, two of which are associated with a cluster at a private company in the county.
The first newly confirmed case is a male in his 30s, currently recovering at home, with known exposure to another positive case.
The second newly confirmed case is a male in his 30s, currently recovering at home, with known exposure to another positive case.
The third newly confirmed case is a male in his 30s, currently recovering at home, with known exposure to another positive case.
"Two of the new positive cases, along with the positive case from June 1st and June 3rd (4 total, are all now related to a cluster at a private company in McPherson County. Facility-wide testing is taking place to identify any asymptomatic carriers. This private company does not have general public access; therefore, the location will not be released. Staff at this company have been contacted and are aware of the situation. Let this serve as a reminder that COVID-19 is still present in our communities, so please stay home if you are ill and maintain your distance when you are around others," the health department reported.
Of McPherson County's 33 confirmed cases, 25 have met recovery guidelines set forth by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and one remains hospitalized, the health department noted.
