A 21-year-old Salina man was injured in a two-vehicle accident just south of Salina early Wednesday afternoon.

A white 2018 GMC Sierra pickup driven by Mindi Carlson, 25, of Minneapolis, was eastbound on West Water Well Road when Carlson failed to stop at the intersection with Old Highway 81, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning. A northbound 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Christian Rodriguez, 21, of Salina, was not able to stop in time and struck the passenger side of the pickup, Soldan said.

According to Soldan, Carlson was cited for disobeying a stop sign and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Both vehicles were towed, he said.
