It's going to be a hot next couple of days.
The warming trend continues today as afternoon highs are expected to soar into the upper 90s across central and south central Kansas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Further east, temperatures are expected to reach into the upper 80s to mid-90s, marking another day of well above normal temperatures across the area.
Believe it or not, Friday is expected to be even hotter than today with temperatures reaching into the upper 90s to near 100 degrees in much of central and south central Kansas, NWS noted. Even with temperatures only in the low 90s in southeast Kansas, heat indices of 100+ degrees will make it feel much warmer!
