Lorenz Glen "Curly" Redger

Lorenz Glen "Curly" Redger, 89, of McPherson, Kansas passed away at 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 peacefully at the Cedars.

Curly was born in Durham, Kansas on June 25, 1930, a son of Neal and Marie (Schmidt) Redger.

Curly attended Roxbury grade school and graduated from Roxbury High School, Roxbury, Kansas in 1948.

Curly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Through the years Curly worked for Tom Brown Construction, Lindsborg, Kansas. He then worked for NCRA until he retired as a shop supervisor in 1991.

Curly enjoyed jeep trails, joking with friends, golfing, billiards, hunting, boating, skiing, riding bikes in the mountains, fishing, camping, traveling to Texas for 28 winters and spending time with friends and family.

Lorenz Glen Redger was united in marriage to Juanita Lou Heim on September 16, 1956 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Canton, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of a daughter, Anita.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Juanita Redger, of McPherson, Kansas.

He is also survived by grandchildren, Brandon Unruh(Jennifer, Kristy Jo Moore, Kyle Unruh and Meghan Wedel and Great-grandchild, Morgen Hubbs.

Curly was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Anita; his brothers, Milton and Dallas and his sisters, Hazel, Neola and Enid.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.

Burial is at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.
