Clifford H. McGee, 71 died May 28, 2020 Kansas City, KS.&nbsp; He was born on July 25, 1948 in Clay Center, KS, the son of Clifford L. and Sybil (Gains) McGee.&nbsp; Clifford was raised in Clay Center and was a graduate of CCCHS Class or 1967.&nbsp; He earned bachelor’s degrees in journalism, 1983, and social work, 1993 from Wichita State University.&nbsp; Clifford worked at the Wichita Eagle newspaper as a writer covering hunting, fishing and outdoors stories.&nbsp; His articles were also published in the LA Times, Denver Post and several magazines.&nbsp; Clifford cared for and house broke an orphaned pigeon which led to his hobby of raising and racing pigeons.&nbsp; He was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church and a former member of the Jaycees, both of Clay Center.&nbsp;&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon McGee.
