A Salina man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and criminal threat after an incident late Sunday afternoon.

Officers were called to the Petro 2 Truck Service Center, 2125 North Ninth Street, at approximately 5:15 p.m. Sunday for the report of an altercation between two employees, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.

A 40-year-old Wichita man told police that another employee -- Charles Overgard, 36, of Salina -- threatened him with a knife, Forrester explained. The two have had their differences in the past, he added. The Wichita man told police he was putting air in some tires when Overgard unhooked the air hose. A verbal argument ensued and Overgard allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the man, according to Forrester.

Police located a knife in Overgard's possession when he was arrested, Forrester noted. Requested charges for Overgard include aggravated assault and criminal threat, Forrester reported.
