Michael R. Stallings, 79, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at his home.  Michael was born February 7, 1941 in Hutchinson to Floyd and Elizabeth (Keeley) Stallings.

Michael enlisted in the United States Navy in 1959 and retired with honors in 1969.  He then worked as a chemical engineer for many years.  He and Karla Heroneme were united in marriage on September 26, 1987 in Oakley.  They moved to Minneapolis from Three Rivers, MA in 2018.  He loved the Navy, golfing, lectoring in various churches, and his beloved Corvette.  Michael was a Fourth Degree Knight and he was also a past Grand Knight. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Roy Wade; and stepbrother, Rex Wade.

Survivors are his wife, Karla; brother, Thomas (Wanda) Stallings; sisters, Jerrie (Chuck) Jones and Sheri Brown; stepfather-in-law, John Rupp; brother-in-law, Tom (Colleen) Heroneme; sister-in-law, Denise (George) Dresie; best friends, Dennis and Susan Mick and family; and numerous nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held for family only at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 15 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis.   The mass will be livestreamed on Wilson Family Funeral Home’s Facebook page.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.  Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467.  Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.
