Salina police are investigating damage to property at a local cemetary.
Sometime between Friday and Monday, someone drove over a roundabout area in the military memorial section of Roselawn Cemetery, 1920 East Crawford Street, and a struck a memorial bench and statue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.
The marble bench, valued at $1,500, collapsed and was removed from the base, he explained. A two-and-a-half-foot statue of a soldier kneeling with a K-9, valued at $100, also was struck, he added.
