Expect a raw and soggy start to the work week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.
Widespread rainfall will begin late tonight and last through early Tuesday morning. The heaviest rain is expected to fall Monday night and be focused over southern Kansas, NWS noted.
Additionally, several records are in jeopardy Monday, with high temperatures struggling to get out of the 40s across the area.
