Man from Abilene hospitalized after crash with semi

RENO COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Saturday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Mercedes driven by  Ronald M. Heller, 60, Abilene, was northbound on Grant Street and failed to yield to a 2020 Freightliner semi driven by  Kpassou Guizale, 33, Baltimore, Maryland,  who was traveling southwest on U.S. 50 

The front of the semi struck the passenger side rear of the Mercedes. EMS transported Heller to Wesley Medical Center.

Guizale was not injured. Heller was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
