
You soon will have another option for entering the City-County Building.
Beginning Monday, both the north and south entrances to the City-County Building, 300 West Ash Street, will be open for access, according to information from Saline County. The east and west entrances will remain locked.
All departments continue to strongly encourage citizens to utilize phone, online, or mail-in options to conduct business with city and county departments.
The following steps have been taken to support and safeguard staff and visitors in the City-County Building, according to the information from the county:
•Floor markings and signage to promote safe physical distancing.
•Limits to the number of citizens entering certain offices at one time.
•Enhanced daily sanitation practices, including increased frequency of cleaning commonly used areas.
•Installation of plexiglass partitions in certain departments.
•Citizens and staff are encouraged to wear cloth face masks while inside the building.
•Some departments in the building may not be open fully, citizens are encouraged to call beforehand.

Saline County Departments
Saline County Treasurer, 309-5860 – Second half of property taxes are due May 10. Mailing in of payments or online payments are highly encouraged (https://www.saline.org/Departments/Treasurer).
Vehicle Registration, 309-5860 – There will be limits to the number of citizens allowed inside the office at one time. Online renewals are highly encouraged.
Saline County Appraiser, 309-5800 – Appointments are highly encouraged.
Saline County Planning & Zoning, 309-5813 – Appointments are highly encouraged.
County Attorney’s Office, 309-5815 – Offices remain closed to the public. If you have questions regarding a pending case, please contact the County Attorney’s office.
Saline County District Court, 309-5843 – Courts will resume Monday. If you have questions regarding a pending court case, please contact the District Court office.
Register of Deeds, 309-5855 – Abstractors can drop off paperwork in the Register of Deeds’ office. No passports are being processed at this time. All other business will be conducted by appointment only.
Saline County Clerk/Elections, 309-5820 – Normal operations.
Saline County Commissioners, 309-5825 – In-person meetings have resumed. Measures have been implemented to maintain proper physical distancing.
Additionally, other county facilities have implemented modified approaches to direct public interaction as the reopening phase-in continues.
Senior Center, 245 North Ninth Street, 785-827-9818 -- The building will remain closed to the public. Meals on Wheels will continue as normal. All volunteers are being screened for illness and social distancing measures have been implemented for the delivery of meals.
Saline County Sheriff’s Office and Jail, 251 North 10th Street, 785-826-6500 -- The jail lobby remains closed. The records lobby is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for VIN inspections, registered offender registrations, concealed carry applications, etc. The fingerprinting office will reopen by appointment only beginning Tuesday. To schedule an appointment, please call 785-833-8527.
•Appointments will be made every 30 minutes on the hour.
•Arrive at your scheduled time and check in with the secretary.
•If you arrive early you will be asked to wait in your vehicle until your scheduled time.
•If you have a face mask, please wear it.
•Your temperature will be taken upon your arrival and if you are running a temperature, you will be turned away.
•Prior to fingerprinting, you will be required to use the provided hand sanitizer.
•If you are sick, please do not make an appointment.
Noxious Weed/Expo Center, 900 Greeley Avenue, 785-826-6531 -- Modifications include the following.
•Chemical purchases/sales will be made by appointment only.
•Visitors must make an appointment.
Saline County Health Department, 125 W. Elm, 785-826-6600 -- Modifications include the following.
•All entrance to the building will be through the North entrance.
•Citizens will need to make an appointment. Some services have been adjusted.
•Home Health Care is focusing on critical patients and have adjusted some of their services.
Saline County Community Corrections, 309 S. Broadway Boulevard, 785-826-6590 -- Modifications include the following.
•All offenders must make an appointment.
•All group classes have been cancelled.
