Saline County has announced the reopening of a section of Old 40 Highway near Solomon.
Old 40 Highway between Donmyer Road and the City of Solomon is now open to through traffic, however, an asphalt overlay between Niles Road and the City of Solomon is currently under construction, according to information from the Saline County Road and Bridge Department.
The overlay operation is utilizing a pilot car for the traffic control. Motorist must be prepared to stop at the flagger locations, the road and bridge information noted. Also, there are several locations where the pavement is uneven, so motorists are urged to be cautious when traveling through this area and pay special attention to all construction signs.
