ELLSWORTH -- The Ellsworth County Health Department has reported the county's first confirmed COVID-19 case.
The reported case is a male over the age of 50 who is stable and is maintaining in-home isolation, the health department reported.
"The Ellsworth County Health Department is working diligently to identify any close contacts of the individual and those who were exposed will be contacted as soon as possible. Close contacts will be monitored for fever and respiratory symptoms," the health department noted in a letter to county residents.
