Part of a rural residence northeast of Salina was destroyed by a fire late Friday night.
According to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan, first responders were called to the residence at 3488 North Crystal Springs Road at 10:58 p.m. Friday. A cabin attached to the single-story residence was on fire and was destroyed, he explained.
Two occupants in the residence discovered the fire and exited safely, Soldan noted. There were no injuries, Soldan added.

An electric bed is believed to have been the source of the fire, Soldan noted.
Deputies and firefighters from rural fire districts 5 and 7 responded to the incident, Soldan reported.
