Here's the Friday COVID-19 update from Saline County:
The Saline County Health Department does not have any additional cases of COVID-19 to report today.
At this time, the Saline County Health Officer does not plan on adding additional restrictions above and beyond the recommendations set forth by the Governor. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. We will continue to support increased testing capabilities and robust contact tracing.
The Governor’s framework can be found at covid.ks.gov. Business and Industry partners are directed to review the framework and strongly encouraged to follow industry standards. Specific guidance and information from the business sectors are listed towards the bottom of the webpage.
A mobile testing site will be in Salina on Friday, May 1st and Saturday May 2nd. This is a collaborative effort between eTrueNorth, Walmart, and State & Local officials. To be tested individuals MUST:
• Have a scheduled appointment trough eTrueNorth by visiting www.DoINeedaCOVID19test.com or by calling 1-800-635-8611
• They will only test those that meet criteria.
• Testing will take place in the lower parking lot at the Kansas Highway Patrol located at 2025 E. Iron from 10am to 3pm. Again, you must have an appointment.
At 11 am, KDHE reported the following in their daily release:
• A total of 4,449 positive cases and 130 deaths. That is an increase of 211 positive cases from yesterday’s release.
• 28,585 negative tests have been received through the KDHE and private labs.
• The age range is 0 years to 99 years (median 44 years of age).
Announcements:
• Salina Airport Authority released today that due to the COVID-19 pandemic they have reduced to one flight per day to Denver International Airport and have eliminated the flight to Chicago. SkyWest will operate a single flight per day through June 30th, 2020.

Saline County residents are encouraged to help the community and our health care system flatten the curve and slow the spread of coronavirus. You can do this by:
• Following the Statewide Stay-at-Home Order which remains in effect until May 3rd.
• Covering all coughs and sneezes.
• Washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water.
• Wearing cloth face coverings or homemade masks when in public.
